EOE 8 September 24 - 28, 2018

We will be wrapping up our Orienteering unit this week with a few more classes outside using the compasses in the school yard.  Students will be given coordinates and directions and have to chart their course on their map of the school yard.

Please make sure that you are dressed appropriately for the weather!

EOE 8 September 17 - 20, 2018

Students are reminded to check the weather and make sure that they are dressed appropriately for the conditions, as we will be outside practicing our orienteering skills with the compasses! 

Students are also reminded that Thursday September 20th will be a short class, as it is early dismissal due to the conferences that evening. The conference booking system will open at 6:00 am on Monday and close at noon on Thursday, I look forward to meeting with you!

If you have not done so already, please log in to D2L to make sure that you have access to the EOE 8 D2L shell.  Notes, assignments and field trip forms will be posted for students in case they miss getting them in class.

EOE 8: September 10-14, 2018

UPDATE:  EOE 8 will be run out of the Art Room (Mme. Gagne's Room).

We will go over the expectations and work on some orienteering skills this week.  Plan to be outside this week and dress appropriately for the weather!

I am hoping to have confirmation of the trips being offered this year and be able to share dates with you shortly!

Grade 7's will be finishing up their Climbing unit this week as we are currently reviewing all of the material we have covered in the last three weeks.  Students should expect to have their quiz on Tuesday May 9th.

EOE 9

Grade 9 students will participate in their cooking lab Wednesday in preparation for their camp trip coming up on May 24th-26th.  I am super excited for the trip and hope the students are as well.  We have just finished up on our camp project and students will need to hand it in on May 8th.  Camp food menus will also be due next week.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email Mr. Groves at sagroves@cbe.ab.ca.
